For over 30 years, Gustavo López, has participated in prominent international art events, creating a formidable history as a sculptor in the bronze craftsmanship branch of artistic discipline. The material the artist works with always has to be “something connected to my emotions and character, with the integration or fusion with ideas,” says Master Gustavo. This is where bronze, as a medium, takes charge of shaping GULOOCH's unique language.
For many years, GULOOCH has dedicated himself to working particularly with bronze. While we cannot deny his fascination with painting and drawing, no other artistic discipline holds as much significance in his life as the materialization of ideas in three dimension, especially with a noble and enduring metal like bronze. During his student years, Gustavo was recruited by various artists and companies dedicated to the production of arts and crafts. He worked for top - tier clients, such as Alejandro Fernández and sculptor Diego Martínez Negrete, where in the latter's bronze workshop, GULOOCH’S curiosity and fascination for this material began. Gustavo had the opportunity to work as an apprentice in the foundry and create and contribute to many classic pieces in the city of Guadalajara. Around the year 2000, he moved to the city where he currently resides, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. There, he encountered the workshop of Master Octavio González, where he contributed his skills to the construction of various pieces. He repeatedly collaborated with some "clients" who, upon seeing his talent, proposed joint work agreements. In the mid -2000s, Gustavo López GULOOCH's work and artistic expertise began to gain acceptance in the city of Puerto Vallarta, through years of work and various presentations, becoming featured in the most important social events with his artistic creations.
