BIOGRAPHY

Born in Meissen, Germany, she entered a cabinet-making workshop at the age of 16 in Oberursel, Germany, and received her technical diploma in 1963. She later studied art under the tutelage of distinguished artists such as Gerda Werner and Georg Hieronymi in Germany, with Gita Segerscog in Mexico City and the Emily Carr College of Art in Vancouver, Canada.
Currently living in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico, Ute has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Canada and Mexico. Her work is in private collections in Mexico, USA, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden and Bahamas. Ute had her first solo exhibition at the age of 15 at the Olle Galerie Heinrich, Oberursel, Germany (1959).
