biography
My name is Kenneth Hurtado Ríos, I’m born in Peru in January 20, 1980.
I've inherited my passion for art from my parents who are artisans. My encounter with painting took place when I was very small child, my love and dedication for that art has grown to be part of me. I was born in Peru, but due to family circumstances I moved to Mexico, I went to the University of Guadalajara, and to finance my studies I traveled a lot with my art making exhibitions in many countries.My works belong to different private collections in different parts of the world.
I felt fascination for ancestry cultures like Inkas, Aztecas and Mayas. This is why my works are the product of my constant quest for discovering this mysterious and magical cosmovision
I consider by myself an esthete, humanist and a freethinker. My pictorial language eclectic, authentic and sincere, always in search of new experiences; a symbiosis of abstractionism and realism is evident in my canvases, revealing the aura of a reverential mysticism. My painting goes beyond what is represented, since the dreamlikeness of its definitions leaves all doors open to imagination and inventiveness, in such a way that my compositions, rather than fixing ideas or specific figures, suggest a world of interpretative possibilities. The dialogue with the attentive observer is constant and harbors innumerable variants that are life itself.
